Atlanta Women's Film Festival
The Atlanta Women's Film Festival is a live screening of short films and table read events that takes place in Atlanta, GA. This event is an amazing opportunity to promote female filmmakers, directors, writers, producers, actors, and female-centered storylines to our incredibly supportive film community. There will be live screening blocks of films with Q&As with the filmmakers, table reads for the screenplays in our competition, live panels with influential women in the film industry, and networking events for anyone that would like to attend. Script writers, in addition to submitting your script to the festival we also provide optional script coverage. Script coverage with our festival includes the price of your submission fee. Your work will be analyzed by a Cinema Life filmmaker who's produced award-winning films, has extensive writing experience, and also understands the indie way of filmmaking.

Latino Feedback Film Festival
This festival is an extension to the popular Feedback Festival in Los Angeles and is designed to showcase the best of Latino stories from around the world. We accept screenplays (short, TV Pilot, feature) and short films from all corners of the world. Showcasing all winning scripts & short films in the great city of Los Angeles at the LA LIVE Regal Cinemas.

Global Film Festival Awards
Welcome to GLOBAL FILM FESTIVAL AWARDS. We're a monthly and annual competition based in Los Angeles. We want the best worldwide film stories to promote filmmakers' works for distributors. The GFFA is an open door for independent filmmakers. It's a special jury formed by Hollywood producers, European and international distributors to promote films and new media. What's the difference between submitting your project to GFFA and other film festivals? GFFA is not the typical film festival that promotes only local artists. We have an original global channel with partners. To date, our press crew around the world includes press in the USA, Canada, England, Denmark, French, Italy, Spain, Japan, Australia, Argentina, and Brazil. We understand the difficulties independent producers face to have a fully analyzed project. Our judging team is looking for potential films and filmmakers for scheduled meetings with executives from the film and television industry. GFFA is an opportunity for independent showrunners, directors, and producers to meet with a worldwide audience. Every month, our jury will award the best independent filmmakers through private screenings. Every submission can submit to as many categories as fits the film to increase the chances of winning. We also provide honorable mentions for filmmakers who may not necessarily win but who should be acknowledged for their work. All the annual winners receive the prestigious Golden Star trophy, and monthly winners may contact our team to order their trophy and pay the production and shipping costs. The GFFA Public Event will celebrate the "Best of Year" competitions. The Global Film Festival Awards has the honor of hosting eight exclusive artists on our team. New Faces New Voices
Now in Year 5, New Faces New Voices is determined more than ever to continue discovering and highlighting new works often ignored by the mainstream and Hollywood. In just 4 short years our alums are making waves in the industry with theatrical and streaming distribution on Netflix, Sony Pictures Worldwide and more. Some of our most recent Alums were featured on CNN, ABC News and other local media outlets. NFNV showcases inclusive and diverse voices from around the world and is known for highlighting underrepresented communities - filmmakers of color, female filmmakers, members of the LGBTQ+ and disabled communities, including works by military veterans. Our recent alums include: Leah Kreitz who can now be seen in the NETFLIX series "Dash and Dilly"; Diane Paragas, who screened her short film "Unstoppable" in our first year, just acquired worldwide theatrical distribution for her debut feature "Yellow Rose" by Sony Pictures Worldwide and was featured in a story on CNN; And Molly Clark, who won an award earlier this year for her short film "Martin The Sea Turtle," was just featured in a story on ABC News. In 2022 we have over $15,000+ in prizes and distribution opportunities sponsored by Final Draft, JMR Rentals, Urbn-TV, UKW Media, Bowery Film Festival, Screenblade, Katra Film Series, and International Screenwriters' Association.

Black History Film Festival
Annual celebration of Black History, arts, and culture held in Atlanta and Washington, DC.

o Eligibility: Projects submitted must be by a writer, director, and/or producer who is a person of color (including but not limited to Black, African-American, Latinx, East Asian, South Asian, and Pacific Islander) AND/OR feature people of color in the cast/storyline. At a minimum, projects must highlight an inclusive cast that reflects the shifting demographics around the world.
Programming emphasizes historical and new works in categories including narrative and documentary films, both features/shorts, as well as animation, and web series.
Filmmaker is responsible for the costs of providing film in the format identified in notification email, if selected.
Virtual screenings will require a file upload with specs provided by the Festival.
Projects in competition may not have had a commercial distribution or been broadcast in the United States. The programming committee reserves the right to waive this rule in the case of small non-commercial, non-publicized screenings.
Projects receiving a theatrical or key festival screening in the Atlanta or Washington D.C. area prior to festival dates will not be considered. Exceptions will be made under special circumstances. Please contact our office if you agree to any other screenings directly before or after the festival, other than those listed on your submission.
The Festival does not pay rental/screening fees. Instead, our limited resources are invested in the production and promotion of the best possible showcase for your work.
Projects must have been completed AFTER January 1, 2022, but more recent work is preferred for premiere.
Works-in-progress may be submitted, as long as the final version is shared prior to the festival and a DCP will be available for screening during the Festival.

Feedback Female Film Festival
The FEEDBACK Female Film Festival (FFFF) was created for women filmmakers and screenwriters. The goal is to showcase the best of female talent in film & TV from around the world. Film Festivals (short & feature) occur 12 times a year (every month) in Los Angeles and Toronto. Accepted films get their film screened at 2 festivals. The Audience Feedback Festival where you will receive a video of people's reactions to your film. (Great asset to promote your movie). Plus, the Film Festival Streaming Service Festival where it will be seen by people in the industry and film fans. Plus, each filmmaker gets the opportunity to do two interviews to further promote them and their work. A blog interview, and a podcast interview on the Film Festival ITunes show.

Wicked Queer: Boston's LGBTQ + Film Festival
WICKED QUEER: The Boston LGBTQ+ Film Festival is the fourth oldest LGBTQ+ film festival in North America and it is the largest LGBTQ+ media event in New England. Founded in 1984 by film programmer George Mansour, the festival has been hosted by the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston since the early nineties. In 2009 the festival expanded to include screenings at the Brattle Theatre in iconic Harvard Square, Cambridge, the Fenway Health Center on Boylston Street in Boston, and the Institute of Contemporary Art. Our mission is to build community and to celebrate Queer storytelling and filmmaking through the uplifting of voices and stories not yet heard and to present and preserve the vibrancy of our histories. In 2023 the festival screened over 150 films in 39 programs throughout the month of April.

LA Underground Film Forum
LA Underground Film Forum (LAUFF) is Los Angeles's premier showcase of experimentation in film, video and audio based mediums. It focuses on avant-garde, art-house, independent and no/low budget filmmaking. Our program provides a venue for filmmakers to reinvent and explore new approaches, to foster new forms of media art and to build an audience for such work. We aim to present a wide range of work exploring the many definitions and interpretations of the concept of "underground". We're looking for films made with passion, obsession and drive; films that go beyond expectations and genre; films, video and audio projects that strive to push the boundaries of accepted form and content. A strong sense of authorship is a must.

Glass Ceiling Breakers
The Glass Ceiling Breakers Film Festival is the very FIRST film festival in the Hudson Valley to present the work of women filmmakers from all over the world. The film fest joins the well established women's short play festival and will take place at the Philipstown Depot Theatre in Garrison NY located alongside the beautiful Hudson River steps away from MetroNorth. The festival will include a workshop with artists and will offer networking opportunities with filmmakers, writers and actors. Dates of the festival will be June 14-16 and a selection of films will be presented at GCB's Best of the Fest at the Bedford Playhouse in September 2024.

Female Eye Film Festival
The Female Eye is a competitive international women directors' film festival . The Female Eye is a competitive international women directors' film festival that was established in 2001, as a not-for-profit organization. The 20th anniversary returned LIVE at TIFF Bell Lightbox, June 2022. We look forward to the 21st edition! The Female Eye showcases high-caliber independent films that illuminate the best of debut, emerging, and established women directors from around the globe. Our Script Development Program is open to both men and women. FeFF is big on audience engagement and networking. Audience Q&As follow each film program. All festival delegates receive a VIP All Access Pass to the festival (screenings, script development, FeFF Photo Exhibit, happy hour, industry panels, tributes, workshops, and the closing awards ceremony), where networking with attendees, festival participants, and industry members is key. The Female Eye, noted for its intimate atmosphere and accessibility, attracts film enthusiasts, emerging and internationally recognized directors, screenwriters, seasoned industry professionals, celebrities, and decision-makers in the film and television industry. The Female Eye serves to bridge the gap between the written and film arts. We produce a robust Industry Initiatives Program consisting of panels, masterclasses, workshops, script development, and pitch and networking sessions. Annually, FeFF honors an Honorary Director and Honorary Maverick with a Best in the Biz Tribute, an "intimate conversation with" and award presentation. Script Development is a three-tier program comprising the Good to Go, a closed-door session with decision-makers for screenwriters with scripts that are "good to go"; the Script-Reading Series, where main scenes are read by ACTRA members before a live audience and industry guests who provide feedback to the writers; and the Live Pitch, where writers and their team members pitch to a live audience and an industry-led jury. o Eligibility: Films must be directed by women. The Script Development Program is open to both men and women. Screenplays written by men must feature a female protagonist. Films must be produced within two years of the festival, and they cannot be streaming, televised, or playing theatrically in Canada. We give priority to films that have not yet screened in Toronto. The fee for the competition is applicable to all deadlines. Filmmakers and screenwriters must elect to compete for an award. The flat fee to enter the competition is $100 regardless of the deadline, genre, or project duration. FeFF programmers can also choose to nominate a project into the competition if they feel a project is award-worthy.

Women's Voices Now is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization using film to drive positive social change that advances women's and girls' rights globally.
Our Film Festival promotes emerging women filmmakers using social-change films to advocate for women's and girls' rights around the world, by:

Through Women's Eyes International Film Festival
Welcome to the Through Women's Eyes International Film Festival in beautiful Sarasota, Florida! Our 25th Anniversary festival, Reel Equals, is March 7-12, 2024. We are an international, mission-driven festival, dedicated to women filmmakers and films that address issues inadequately represented in the mainstream media. Every year we host significant numbers of films from all over the world. We frequently select films that go on to commercial success (RBG), publicize the work of voices that need to be heard (Nobel Prize Winner Nadia Murad), and remind the world about issues that need more attention (violence as an act of war in the DRC featuring Nobel Prize Winner Dennis Mukwege). In 2021, our festival successfully launched on a virtual platform, permitting our most successful festival ever, with viewers from 38 U.S. states and 13 countries. In 2024, our films will be shown both in person at theaters in Sarasota and on our virtual, on-demand platform for a global audience.

Emerging Filmmaker category: to be eligible for the Emerging Filmmaker category, the producer or director must be either under the age of 30 OR enrolled in an accredited film school during the production of the submitted film. Documentation proving one of these criteria is required at the time of submission. For example, submission of a valid government ID or a student card/transcript. If this is your "first" film and you are NOT under 30 or enrolled in an accredited film school, please do not submit in the Emerging Filmmaker category. Your film will not be considered and your submission fee will not be refunded. You may resubmit in the general festival categories.
4. Films must have been completed AFTER December 1, 2022. All film submissions will be reviewed initially by 2 - 3 screeners; high-scoring films will then be reviewed by our advisory panel and referred to a final selection committee.
If selected, TWE has the right to use stills, posters, titles, or any information from the submission for promotional purposes.
Films that are publicly available prior to our festival, either in theatrical release or through electronic or digital media, or DVD sales, may not be selected. The only exception is showings in recognized film festivals.

Winter Film Awards International Film Festival NYC
New York City's Winter Film Awards (WFA) is a volunteer-run and operated celebration of the diversity of local and international film-making. Our Mission is to recognize excellence in cinema and to promote learning and artistic expression for people at all stages of their artistic careers with a focus on nurturing emerging filmmakers and helping them gain recognition and contacts to break into this difficult industry. We pride ourselves on our diverse collection of Festival selections, allowing our audience to enjoy films they normally wouldn't think to seek out. Now in its eleventh year, the rapidly growing Festival showcases the work of emerging filmmakers from around the world. For the 2021 Festival, 91 films from 28 countries were screened, including an eclectic mix of Animated films, Documentaries, Feature narratives, Horror films, Music Videos, Narrative shorts and Web series. 50% of the films were created by women, 53% were created by or about people of color. Works of all genres, forms, and lengths are considered. All selected films are screened at Cinema Village, NYC's top indie cinema in the heart of Greenwich Village. The Festival includes ten days of film screenings, educational panels, professional development workshops and industry networking after-parties, which will conclude with a glittering awards ceremony . Outstanding work will be awarded for each category, along with Best Director, Best Actor/Actress, Outstanding Woman Director, Best Student Film and the NY PERSPECTIVES Award for best depiction of the New York multi-cultural experience. California Women's Film Festival (Winter)
The California Women's Film Festival is deeply honored to celebrate women filmmakers, artists and writers by providing a showcase and networking forum in the heart of Hollywood. The CWFF understands how important it is to hear and see the educated, entertaining and diverse stories of women from around the globe. We provide a platform so these voices can be heard and shared with audiences that want to be inspired. San Francisco International Film Festival
SFFILM champions the world's finest films and filmmakers through programs anchored in and inspired by the spirit and values of the San Francisco Bay Area. Valkyrie International Film Festival
Valkyrie International Film Festival (VIFF) spotlights films directed by women of all backgrounds and advances the cause of women in film. Held every year in March (Women's History Month), VIFF was founded by Tamar Lamberson and her daughter, Kaelin Lamberson. VIFF seeks impactful films in all genres. If a woman directs it, we want to see it! VIFF will screen narrative, documentary, and experimental shorts and features. The only requirement is that every film selected for screening must have been directed by a woman. VIFF will be held on Thursday, March 21st - Monday, March 25th, 2024 at The Screening Room Cinema & Arts Caf̩, a boutique digital cinema located in Amherst, New York, just outside Buffalo. The Screening Room features a large screen and surround sound, with mixed dining room and theater seating. The venue is a staple of the indie film scene in Western New York. Beer and wine are available. VIFF will only hold in-person screenings. VIFF will serve as a platform for female directors to come together, support each other's work, and discuss the challenges and advances of women in film. The programmers will present awards, but view the event as a celebration rather than a competition. VIFF will be held during Women's History Month each year. Miami Jewish Film Festival
The Miami Jewish Film Festival (MJFF) is the world's preeminent Jewish film festival and the largest festival of its kind dedicated to celebrating new film and media exploring universal themes of identity, history, and culture. Presenting its 27th edition from January 11-25, 2024, the Festival showcases the work of the world's best emerging and established filmmakers and offers cash awards totaling more than $40,000 in juried competition categories. NYWIFT Member Screening Series
The New York Women in Film & Television Member Screening Series is a unique opportunity for NYWIFT members to showcase their work in a theatrical setting. The series features a diverse array of projects from both established and emerging filmmakers in celebration of our community of women filmmakers. The NYWIFT member screening is open to all current members of NYWIFT. Films are selected and notified on a rolling basis for screening in the series. Due to high demand, screening is not guaranteed though we do our best to accommodate as many members as possible. Films may be short or feature length and may be paired with other film(s) for the screening. All genres are welcome. Projects must feature at least one current NYWIFT member in a key creative role. Touchstone Gallery's Open Call
figure invites artists to submit work that considers the role of the human form in contemporary art, from the hyperrealistic to the abstracted. What bodies and persons do we see, showcase, hide, define, abstract, or obscure through the expressions and interpretations of art? All visual mediums are accepted, including painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, installations, video, performance art, and more. Works must be original and completed within the past five years. This exhibition will include both a physical gallery show located in Washington, DC and a virtual exhibition.

Filmmaker Services Manager, Women Makes Moves
The Manager of Filmmaker Services (MFS) is the point person for filmmaker relations in both the Distribution and Production Assistance Program. The MFS provides artist support and serves as a bridge between production assistance and acquisitions, as well as between the organization and the larger industry. The MFS is personable, creative, takes initiative, and thrives on helping filmmakers succeed. The Manager of Filmmaker Services (MFS) is part of our Senior Management team and reports directly to the Executive Director. They are in charge of our core program that assists filmmakers: our Production Assistance Program, which supports emerging and established women filmmakers from concept to completion with a tailored suit of professional development services, nonprofit tax-exempt status through fiscal sponsorship, consultations, on-line resources, and webinars and networking events. The MFS is responsible for developing and implementing all aspects of the program including administration and general outreach. Specific duties include consultation with producers on production management, budgeting, and fundraising; developing, scheduling, and promoting webinars on production and the independent film industry; and working with Senior Leadership on long-range plans and development for the program. The MFS will also develop and implement a new mentoring program aimed at emerging filmmakers. In addition, the MFS also works with our distribution staff on acquisitions and represents the organization to the NYC community as well as regional and national film festivals, conferences, and industry events. This position supervises a Program Coordinator, consultant(s), and interns. The ideal candidate brings to the position experience with, or knowledge of, film production or artist services but has now decided to focus their career on supporting filmmakers rather than making films themselves. Please note that this is not a good job for an active filmmaker as it presents a conflict of interest. The MFS is a full-time, salaried, Director-track position. Women Make Movies is currently working remotely with plans to work in a hybrid environment within the next few months. The ideal candidate is based in the Metro NYC area (or within distance to get into NYC for a day), but we will consider exceptional candidates from other U.S. locations.

American Documentary and Animation Film Festival and Film Fund
The American Documentary and Animation Film Festival and Film Fund (AmDocs) is one of the largest Docs and Animation festivals in the United States, located near the media capital of Hollywood in beautiful Palm Springs. This unique event focuses on international films in both the short and feature categories as well as showcasing animation. Recipients of the festival's qualifying awards will be eligible for consideration in the Documentary Short Film category of the Academy Awards® without the standard theatrical run, provided the film otherwise complies with the Academy rules. In conjunction with the festival is the American Documentary Film Fund where U.S. filmmakers compete for start-up or finishing funds in order to complete their film masterpieces. Typically, the festival program proudly consists of 90% from film submissions. AmDocs, seeing the bigger picture.

NYC Women's Fund for Media, Music and Theatre
The NYC Women's Fund for Media, Music and Theatre provides grants to encourage and support the creation of digital, film, music, television, and live or online theatre content that reflects the voices and perspectives of all who identify as women.The NYC Women's Fund for Media, Music and Theatre ("Women's Fund"), administered by the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) in partnership with the City of New York Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME), is part of a groundbreaking series of initiatives that address the underrepresentation of women in film, music, television and theatre. The Fund provides grants to encourage and support the creation of content that reflect the voices and perspectives of all who identify as women. The $2 million to be awarded in the fourth cycle brings the grand total of funding to $7.5 million, allocated to a total of 335 recipients (89 in Cycle 3, 94 in Cycle 2, and 63 in Cycle 1).

Sloan Distribution Grant
The Sloan Distribution Grant is a $50,000 grant awarded by Film Independent to a film that is entering its distribution phase. Eligible films must depict themes, stories and characters grounded in real science, technology or economics.

o Eligibility: Applicants must be the producer of a narrative fiction feature film.The film should prominently feature science, mathematics and/or technology in the story and/or have a leading character that is a scientist, engineer or mathematician. Film must be entering its distribution phase.

Panavision New Filmmaker Program
Panavision believes in helping students and beginning filmmakers achieve their dreams. More than 25 years ago, Panavision launched the New Filmmaker Program, an ongoing grant program that loans camera packages to film schools, training programs, and independent filmmakers – at little or no charge. Panavision's commitment to the industry's future provides student and beginning filmmakers the opportunity to work with professional grade equipment early in their careers.

The New Filmmaker Program does not discriminate as to the nature of the project that can receive equipment grants. Any form, from experimental to documentary to musical to traditional narrative, is welcome.
Camera grants are available only for productions in the United States. Customs laws make transportation of cameras out of the US prohibitive. No exceptions.
The New Filmmaker Program will not allow cameras to be used on projects that perpetuate racial or sexual stereotypes and prejudices. Pornography is absolutely unacceptable.
Grant recipients must obtain insurance from an outside insurance agent. Students can generally have the school issue the necessary policies. Plan ahead! This can take several weeks to implement. The process varies from school to school, so check with your film department. Productions that are not attached to a school must obtain the necessary insurance from an independent broker. Panavision must receive proof of insurance two weeks prior to prep dates. EQUIPMENT WILL NOT LEAVE THE BUILDING WITHOUT PROPER INSURANCE. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Approved proposals are subject to a service fee for equipment.

Catapult Film Fund
Catapult Film Fund provides development funding to documentary filmmakers who have a compelling story to tell, have secured access to their story, and are ready to shoot and edit a piece for production fundraising purposes. Our mission is to enable filmmakers to develop their films to the next level at a moment where funding is hard to find.

Documentaries must be 28 minutes or longer in length. We do not fund series.
Animation is okay. Documentary/narrative hybrids will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Development funds must specifically be used for the process of completing a fundraising piece, which may include writing, shooting and editing once story and characters are in place.
Applicants must own the copyright of their production, and have artistic, budgetary and editorial control over their project.
Applicants should preferably have previous film or television production experience in a principal role (director, co-director, producer, co-producer) as demonstrated by submitting a previously completed work sample.
Applicants who have not yet produced or directed their own feature length documentary should demonstrate that they will be working with an experienced filmmaker in a principal role.
Catapult only makes grants to 501(c)(3) organizations. In most cases, this will mean getting a 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor for the project. A film production company or individual, including applicants from outside the US, may submit an application without a fiscal sponsor in place. Please see the FAQ section for more details.
