"The role of women and feminism as a force for change within Silicon Valley has been long underestimated."
- Filmmaker Shalini Kantayya in conversation with WIRED

We are excited to announce that our newest release, CODED BIAS (Dir. Shalini Kantayya), which was made with the support of WMM's Production Assistance Program, opened in theaters across the U.S. on November 18 after a successful premiere at the Metrograph last week. Called "the most cleareyed of several recent documentaries about the perils of Big Tech" by the New York Times, "insightful" by CNETand predicted by VARIETY to be an Oscar contender for Best Documentary Feature, CODED BIAS reveals how the fights for racial and gender justice must be fought on the fields of AI and computer science. Recordings of panel discussions conducted last week are available to watch via WMM's blog. The film is available now for institutions to purchase and to book for virtual screenings, and the filmmaker, Shalini Kantayya, is available to book for Q&As!
