Beings Want to Be Jagged– Short Film
Casting "Beings Want to Be Jagged," a short film. Synopsis: Stella and Henriette are at the end of their relationship. They’ve come to realize it was mostly built on Henriette looking up to Stella as a strong presence to guide Henriette in being open about her sexuality. Stella is skeptical Henriette is a “real lesbian” and wants Henriette to find a man to take care of her, and she wants her independence back. Henriette is attracted to men; Stella is not in any way, shape, or form. They are models on a trip; Henriette sets up a shoot naïvely with a friend of an acquaintance and Stella is too frustrated to be more diligent. They begin using the photographer’s hotel room as a way to avoid each other on their shoot date, each talking to him about problems and he’s emotionally intelligent and available, not judgmental. Stella exits the vacation altogether without saying goodbye to Henriette, leaving her to do the shoot alone.
