A GRAND TIME WAS HAD BY ALL!
Proudly wearing her Rehearsal Club Key (photo by RC "Friend," Florence Long), Phyllis celebrated in style as befits a Queen. The weekend event brought her family in from Florida and her actual birthday on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 brought Rehearsal Club women with whom she knew well. Kathy Conry organized the "entertainment" and our ever-faithful Larry Spivack played piano.
Thank you ALL who contributed a thought, a card and sent good vibrations her way. She literally blossomed under all the attention and continues to meet each day with vigor and humor, now surrounded by fine chocolate, multiple orchids, cards from all over the country and those who continue to care daily about her well-being.
Hope you enjoy the pics! From all of us in New York to all of you -- Happy Spring!

During the first "family" gathering, Shigemasa Nakano, an amazing tenor, performed to an enthralled audience. He played sax, he brought his own orchestra in his phone! Absolutely delightful.

THIS IS MY WISH |

Kathy, as always, produced a very special program for the 2nd celebration - we performed our signature song, "Good Girls Only" and Phyllis' theme song, This Is My Wish (gathered around Phyllis), together with an original song by Larry, sung by Rise, and a unique harmony (w/Phyllis) around the word "clavicle."

In the spirit of the Mostly Mozart Festival's conception, the world premiere of the public domain by Pulitzer Prize winner David Lang will be a performance that not only welcomes the public as a free and open event, but will also be performed by the public.
What say, NYC-based Rehearsal Club ladies? Nothing like a "free" chance to gather and share our talents. Let us know if you plan to sign up and we'll see you there!
