DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH:
25% OFF RELATED TITLES

"PRIVATE VIOLENCE makes painfully clear the emotional and legal hurdles battered women endure just to feel safe again in or outside the home. An eye-opener to anyone whose understanding of domestic violence amounts to the ignorant suggestion,
"Why didn't you leave?" - LA Times

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Each year 1.3 million women are victims of physical assault by an intimate partner. On college campuses, 1 in 5 women will be the victim of attempted or completed sexual assault during her college year, and most of these assaults will be committed by someone the victim already knows.

With these sobering statistics in mind, the Emmy nominated film PRIVATE VIOLENCE and the subsequent dialogue is the urgent tool needed to address the issues of violence against women on campus, and beyond. Hundreds of advocates, universities, shelters and organizations have used PRIVATE VIOLENCE to connect directly with communities to facilitate change on the ground, creating action and dialogue to end intimate partner violence. Watch an exclusive clip from PRIVATE VIOLENCE.

It is important this month to recognize that intimate partner violence and violence against women come in many forms. Below are some highlights from our robust collection of VAW titles to raise awareness and foster change around issues facing women and violence. The collection includes the updated version of bestseller SIN BY SILENCE. In honor of DV Awareness month, we would like to offer a 25% discount off the following titles:
