Memoires of a Penitent Heart (Cecilia Aldarondo) was named as one of the 10 docs selected for IFP's 2015 Documentary Completion Labs. 

PA alum Laura Poitras will be previewing her new docu-series on Julian Assange at the New York Film Festival

A Brave Heart (Sara Bordo), which opens in theaters on Sept. 25th, was featured in USA Today's Fall Movie Preview.

Don't miss this nuts-and-bolts conversation designed to help you create the right fundraising strategy for your documentary film project. We will cover various fundraising approaches from traditional grantseeking focused on government funders and private foundations to crowd funding and appeals to individual donors. Topics include: a fundraising proposal overview, writing an effective synopsis and pitching to donors, identifying and approaching the best funders for your film. Come, take the plunge and learn fundraising basics that will help move your project from idea to reality. This workshop will be led by Tracie Holder, filmmaker, fundraiser and consultant to WMM's Production Assistance Program, who has raised $2 million for her own projects from numerous funders including the Ford and MacArthur Foundations, ITVS, National Endowment for the Arts, National Endowment for the Humanities, New York State Council for the Arts and Corporation for Public Broadcasting, among others.
