OPPORTUNITIES LezCab Seeks Script Submissions! LezCab will be presenting an evening of short works (5-30 minutes) this winter in NYC. We are accepting submissions of plays, musicals, solo shows, and other theatrical productions with a queer woman theme. Scripts and writer bios/resumes should be sent to rachel@lezcab.com by September 15th at 11:59 pm. Please forward to your networks.   Henley Rose Playwright Competition (Knoxville, TN, Fall 2015) The Henley Rose Playwright Competition for Women was founded to encourage and recognize the new works of female playwrights. Henley Rose seeks to honor both the writings of Pulitzer Prize winner Beth Henley and those of future winners of the Henley Rose Award. Submissions are welcome May 1st through October 1st and will be read by a committee of writers, theatre artists, and producers. Three finalists will be announced by October 20th and will be invited to attend and be recognized at the staged reading of their play. Staged readings will take place in Knoxville, TN at a determined date between October 25th and November 15th. The competition winner will be announced on November 20th and will receive both a cash prize and the Henley Rose Award. Please note, we are unable to provide feedback on scripts that are submitted.
