[1] Join SAG-AFTRA New York at the New York City-Central Labor Council Labor Day Parade, Sept. 6

Join us as we celebrate our union, New York City's working families, and the New York labor community. 

When: Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014
Meet at assembly location at 9:30 a.m. March begins at 10 a.m.
*Please note that the parade takes place the weekend after Labor Day

Where: Assemble on East 44th Street between Madison and 5th Avenues
Look for the SAG-AFTRA banner.

Free SAG-AFTRA t-shirts will be available first-come, first-served while supplies last. Members must sign-in at the meeting location to receive a t-shirt. Please bring your SAG-AFTRA ID card (paid thru October 31, 2014). Come out and make this year's parade one to remember!

A limited number of grandstand tickets are available by request. Please email us at newyork@sagaftra.org with the subject "Grand Stand Tickets" for more information.

SAG-AFTRA LGBT Committee, SAG Foundation and UCLA Williams Institute present a live-streamed town hall Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity Diversity in Entertainment with featured speaker Dan Bucatinsky. Members are invited to attend the live-stream event in person at SAG-AFTRA New York.

[3] Reminder: SAG-AFTRA New York Healthcare Safetynet Committee Invites You to a Performing Artist Blood Drive on Aug. 30

When: 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014

Where: American Red Cross Chapter
520 West 49th Street
(between 10th and 11th Avenues)

Appointments are encouraged and can be made by calling (800) RED-CROSS or going to their website at www.redcrossblood.org. Walk-ins are welcome. One donation can save as many as three lives.

The blood drive is run by the Red Cross. For blood donor qualifications, please click here.

Note: The FDA imposes a number of donor registration restrictions. These restrictions, followed by the Red Cross, are solely the responsibility of the FDA and are not endorsed by SAG-AFTRA.
