New Play Reading - The Great Tale of Beatrice Marie Brown by Bella Panico

Join Bella Panico at a FREE reading of her new experimental play, The Great Tale of Beatrice Marie Brown!

Bella is the Student Membership Coordinator Intern with Women in the Arts and Media Coalition, and has been working with them for a year now! She is a NYC based writer, composer, and activist passionate about community and resistance in art. She studies Writing for the Stage, Music, and Creative Writing at Marymount Manhattan College and will graduate with her Bachelors December 2026.

The play follows Beatrice Brown, a woman struggling to find her way back to herself after the death of her parents - unwilling to face the secrets of her dysfunctional childhood. As she navigates unhealthy relationships in her present life, her ongoing addiction, and self destructive behavior, she is forced to piece together the fragments of her life and answer the question we all ask ourselves: How do I continue?

The reading will be held at Dear Friend Books in Brooklyn on April 10th at 7pm. There will be drinks and small bites available at the bar!
