WMM: Reflect on Mental Health Month with Our Special Collection

Reflecting on Mental Health Month

Films Offering Insight into Mental Health
May is Mental Health Month, and Women Make Movies is highlighting films that fight stigma, provide support, educate the public, and advocate for policies that support the millions of people in the U.S. affected by mental illness. These films inspire dialogue around understanding and support on the many topics surrounding mental health.

Don't miss your chance to watch mindful films like new release Neurodivergent (dir. Afton Quast Saler), which takes us inside the ADHD mind as a 35-year-old film student interrogates her past and future while trying to make sense of this misunderstood disorder; PRIMAS (dir. Laura Bari), an evocative and poetic portrait of two teenage cousins in Argentina who overcome the heinous acts of violence that interrupted their childhoods; and SERVICE: WHEN WOMEN COME MARCHING HOME (dir. Marcia RockPatricia Lee Stotter), which highlights the resourcefulness of seven amazing women who represent the first wave of mothers, daughters, and sisters returning home from the frontless wars of Iraq and Afghanistan.
