Giving Tuesday - Support the Coalition & the Actors Fund

Join the movement & give back
The Women in the Arts & Media Coalition is proud to take part in this year’s #GivingTuesday initiative. If you are not familiar with #Giving Tuesday, it is a global day of generosity using the collective power of social networks to encourage philanthropy and support important causes. It is not about guidelines or goals – it’s about encouraging you to support a charity or cause that is important to you.

There are no words to adequately describe the struggles of 2020, and no population more at risk than the professional women who belong to the Coalition’s member and affiliate member organizations.

The Women in the Arts & Media Coalition combines our member organizations' abilities and strengths, focusing on issues of concern to women in the arts and media as they age. We are committed to being the link between our member organizations as we collaborate to empower women in our industry through advocacy, mentoring, networking, and events.

This year, the Coalition is sharing the proceeds of our #Giving Tuesday campaign with the Actors Fund – an organization which has done a brilliant job of supporting performers and behind-the-scenes workers during this challenging time. Since March, 2020, the Actors Fund has provided emergency financial assistance to thousands in our industry. This money is helping people cover basic living expenses, such as food, essential medications, utilities and more.

By donating to the Coalition today, your gift carries a double benefit – helping two organizations which support our incredible community.

Please give generously and post about our #GivingTuesday campaign on your social media pages.

Thank you! And happy holidays ...

Beth-Ellen Keyes, VP of Development
Avis Boone & Yvonne Curry, Co-Presidents
