The Drama Desk will host its annual spring lunch panel at Sardi's Tuesday, May 24 from noon to 2:30pm. Robin Milling will moderate a panel of celebrities discussing the topic of Reviving the Revival -- there sure have been lots of them on Broadway this year! A Piece Of My Heart - Submitted by Shirley Lauro May 19 - June 6 Chicago, California, Arkansas Voted "Most Enduring Play in America About Vietnam War" by Vietnam Vets, Inc., the play centers on a group of young women who go to Vietnam in various capacities -- an Intelligence Officer, a USO Entertainer, an Army nurse, and a military officer. The play spans twenty years through the lives of the women as they serve in Vietnam and the repercussions afterwards on their health, careers, relationships with men, and motherhood. Two productions:

She battles against the loss of her beauty and relevance as she resolves to burn the palace down and avenge her husband King Amar's betrayal. Amar, doomed to reign during the lowest phase of his dynasty must prevent the destruction of his kingdom at the hands of the Mughals using all the resources at his disposal, including his wife, the Queen. Parity Productions - Submitted by Ludovica Villar-Hauser
Founder and Artistic Director Ludovica Villar-Hauser has announced the formation and launch of Parity Productions - the new theater company that combines art and advocacy, with its mission to create new and innovative work as well as hire 50% women and transgender artists on every production.
Parity Productions (launched on May 16, 2016) unveils an impressive array of advocacy initiatives toward creating more jobs and opportunity for women and transgender people in the New York theater community: the annual Parity Productions Commission, promotional support for qualifying shows (competitive shows that also hire 50% women and transgender), The Women and Transgender Artists Database and The Parity Store - a digital retail experience to be launched on parityproductions.org.
