"Female sexuality and shame is an endlessly fascinating subject...filmmaker Sheona McDonald takes a raw and comprehensive look at the issue." -YouBeauty.com
While we live in a highly sexualized society, the messaging around female sexuality is distorted and rife with shame. INSIDE HER SEX is a "fearless and important film" that bravely and unabashedly explores the uneasy coupling of eroticism and embarrassment through the courageous stories of three women: Elle Chase, a popular sex blogger, Candida Royalle, the creator of Femme Productions Inc., a feminist, adult film company designed to speak with a woman's voice and Samantha Allen, the ex-devout Mormon and current gender, sex, and tech writer for The Daily Beast.
Still today, youth will see sex, and particularly female sexuality, portrayed in media and pornography without access to comprehensive sex education. Filmmaker Sheona McDonald wants INSIDE HER SEX to help change that, beginning a much needed conversation around female sexuality and shame. This film is the perfect discussion starter for women studies, sociology, sexuality, media and communications classes.

This hilarious, eye-opening, documentary uses the filmmaker's own path out of virginity to explore its continuing value in our otherwise hypersexualized society. Click here to watch.
