Tisa Chang directs this re-imagining of the epic musical of US military in post-WWII Japan. This production highlights the all female Takarazuka dance theater and how compassion and love can heal prejudice despite the inevitable collision of two disparate, codified cultures.
In MEMBER CORNER, members of Works by Women can share productions they are working on which feature many women artists, but either have a run of less than 2 weeks or do not meet the 50/50 writer, director, design team Works by Women requires. This year the team is joined by Harlem artists Sandra Daley and Ebony Golden.
