NEW DOCUMENTARY ON 2012 DELHI RAPE BLOCKED IN INDIA INDIA'S DAUGHTER A film by Leslee Udwin In 2012, the brutal gang rape on a Delhi bus of a 23 year old medical student, Jyoti Singh, who later died from her injuries, made international headlines and ignited protests and riots that demanded attention from the rest of the world on the issues of sexual assault and violence against women. Today Jyoti's story makes headlines again: Indian authorities have blocked the domestic broadcast of the powerful new documentary INDIA'S DAUGHTER, by BAFTA award winning filmmaker Leslee Udwin.
