**Open Meadows Foundation Grants** – Funds projects that are led by and benefit women and girls, particularly those from vulnerable communities. Sundance Creative Producing Fellowship and Lab (July 1, 2014-June 31, 2014) – Year-long program designed to nurture emerging producers with project-specific support through labs, grants, and long-term advisor relationships. Focuses on the holistic producer who identifies, options, develops, and pitches material; champions and challenges the writer/director creatively; raises financing; leads the casting/packaging process; hires and inspires crew; and navigates the sales, distribution, and marketing arenas. San Francisco Film Society / Kenneth Rainin Foundation Filmmaking Grants Program – Provides funding for narrative feature films made in the San Francisco Bay Area that, through plot, character, theme, or setting, significantly explore human and civil rights, anti-discrimination, gender and sexual identity, and other urgent social justice issues of our time. Grants support screenwriting and script development, preproduction, and post-production expenses. In addition to a cash grant, recipients will receive a range of benefits through the society’s filmmaker services programs. Applicants must be in a key creative role (screenwriter, producer, or direct), be at least 18 years old, have a strong connection to the San Francisco Bay Area, and be SFFS members at the Filmmaker Pro level or above (membership is $90/year and can be purchased at time of application). **The Leeway Foundation Art and Change Grants** – Grants for women and trans artists (including those identifying as transgender, transsexual, and/or genderqueer) who live in the Delaware Valley region of Bucks, Camden, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties who are involved in art for social change and have financial need. Seeks to recognize artists who are marginalized because of the nature of their art or their identity. **Kentucky Foundation for Women Art Meets Activism Grant Program** - Supports feminist artists and organizations in actively engaging individuals and communities in the development, creation or implementation of art activities that are directly focused on progressive social change in Kentucky. Art Meets Activism applicants should demonstrate a commitment to community involvement and be able to illustrate that they have a concrete plan to accomplish social change. Vision Maker Media Public Media Content Fund – Supports video projects with significant Native involvement – particularly projects that profile Native American leaders, activists, and artists – and helps bring the projects to national broadcast on public television. Djerassi Resident Artists Program (4-5 week sessions, mid-March-mid-November, Woodside, CA) – Residencies, including living space, studio space, and all meals, for national and international visual artists, composers, choreographers, performance and media artists, and writers. Artists at all stages of their careers, from emerging to established, are encouraged to apply. Collaborative artists must send individual applications and fees, including a separate page describing the collaborative proposal. Artists in residence will share their work in progress during an annual open house. **Women’s Studio Workshop Internships** (September-December, 2014, Rosendale, NY) – Currently accepting applications for two internships at Women’s Studio Workshop:
Studio Internship – Works with WSW staff on projects including papermaking, book arts, and arts administration. In addition to assisting with the ongoing operations of the facility, interns assist artists-in-residence with their projects, work with artist-educators, and participate as studio assistants during classes.
Arts Administration Internship – For people considering a career in arts administration. Intern works alongside WSW’s administrative staff and learns how to keep an arts organization functioning smoothly. Projects include database management, membership systems, donor and grant research, event planning assistance, writing and distributing press releases, archiving documents, answering phones, and sending e-communications. Graphic design and web skills are a plus; experience with Filmaker Pro, Dreamweaver, InDesign, and Phootshop are beneficial, but not required.
Internships include housing and a stipend of $250/month. Interns work 40 hours a week and the session culminates with an exhibition of work created during their stay.
